WWE: John Cena’s Original Plan For Heel Turn Is Completely Different From What Triple H Is Doing Right Now

After years of being the ultimate good guy, John Cena finally turned heel! He embraced his dark side at this year’s Elimination Chamber, stabbing Cody Rhodes in the back and pretty much selling his soul to The Rock. Then he took the WWE World Championship from Rhodes at WrestleMania 41 and even defended it against Randy Orton at Backlash.

Fans have been dreaming about a Cena heel turn forever, but let’s be real, this one feels kinda half-hearted. Instead of a true, menacing bad guy, he just seems like a frustrated version of his old self. But actually, he had a plan for a full-fledged heel transformation, with new music, a fresh persona, and everything. But Triple H had other ideas, and well, here we are.

John Cena’s initial plan for a heel turn was much better than what Triple H gave us

John Cena dropped a bombshell in his interview with Chris Van Vliet: he actually had plans to turn heel back in 2012, and not just a little attitude shift, but full-on villain mode! He had new entrance music ready, a completely fresh look with boots and boxing robes, and most importantly, a dark, never-seen-before persona that would’ve shocked everyone. John Cena stated,

I had a new track a new studio mixed theme song final mix seven new singlets low cut singlets with boxing type robes. I already had the boots in storage so I dusted them off. I was ready to go.

This just proves that Cena was all in on becoming a full-fledged villain, not the half-hearted version we’re seeing now. He even talked about completely changing his personality, flipping everything fans associate with him. He planned to show up late to WWE events, switch up his entire attitude, walk and talk differently, and do everything possible to make people despise him like never before.

Honestly, Triple H could’ve just gone with Cena’s original plan instead of whatever this is, because let’s be real, it’s not really working. Cena’s heel turn is way off from what fans were expecting, and after hearing this interview, all we can do is wonder what could have been.

John Cena might turn into a baby face again at Saudi Arabia

Looks like John Cena might be heading back to his babyface persona again, if CM Punk’s latest hint on RAW is anything to go by. Let’s be honest: this heel turn isn’t working, and fans are just not buying it. Triple H is feeling the heat, and everything he’s trying seems to be blowing up in his face.

At this point, turning Cena back into a fan favorite at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia might be the only way to save the situation, and possibly Triple H’s job. Fans would love to see him ditch this frustrating heel run and return to the Cena they know and love.

And if this really is Cena’s last stretch in WWE, a final showdown with The Rock would be the perfect send-off. A legendary match between these two icons could be just what Triple H needs to turn things around and win back the fans.
