WWE Champion Calls Cody Rhodes’ New Brand Endorsement “Atrocious”

Cody Rhodes is the definition of rising from the ashes to reach the top of the food chain. The man who left WWE due to major frustrations went on to become a star in the outside world and later returned to the company to take it by storm. In doing so, he has become the face of WWE and that status has brought him immense fame and success.

Amongst those successful endeavors, Rhodes has also clinched multiple brand endorsement deals. This has been a significant boost to his financial success. However, a current champion is not appreciative of one of his deals and made his feelings completely clear.

Which current WWE champion berated Cody Rhodes’ brand endorsement deal?

In a recent rant video on his X, current one-half of the WWE World Tag Team Champion, Xavier Woods, went all out against Cody Rhodes for a specific reason. The New Day member saw something related to Rhodes during his latest visit to the grocery store to buy his house supplies.

As he walked to a particular shelf, Woods saw a section with Minute Maid Fruit Punch cartons with Cody Rhodes on them, who was announced to be on the cover by its parent company, The Coca-Cola Company. This made him furious, especially when he zoomed close to his American Nightmare tattoo, hinting that he was not happy about seeing his fellow WWE star’s endorsement deal.

Okay, this is ridiculous to me. I walking through the grocery store and trying to provide for my family and I’m walkin through this aisle, I see the most atrocious thing that I think could have possibly seen … What is this? What is this? [saying while showing Cody Rhodes on a Minute Maid Fruit Punch]

Moreover, in the tweet, he mentioned that Cody Rhodes was already a brand ambassador for the vodka brand, American Wheatley vodka, and questioned if he was obligated only to have that particular drink. Furthermore, he advocated that The New Day should have been on Minute Maid, citing their current status as champions, while Rhodes was not at the moment.

Isnt he contractually obligated to only drink vodka?? Wowwwww, should have put New Day on these. At least we are champions….

Regardless of Woods’ comments, Cody Rhodes continues to thrive as the brand ambassador of Minute Maid Juice alongside Bianca Belair and the man who is his friend, yet has different video game choices, Main Event Jey Uso. However, it will be interesting to look further if the company takes Woods’ verbal rant into consideration and maybe approach New Day for future deals.

Cody Rhodes, alongside his fellow Minute Maid Juice brand ambassador, Jey Uso, joined forces for a huge match last weekend at the 2025 Money in the Bank Premium Live Event. The dynamic duo faced the team of Logan Paul and the man who once held the WWE title for five minutes, John Cena, who is also the reigning champion at the moment.

The highly spectacular match was a highlight for the PLE that captivated the audience at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. However, the talk of the town was the shocking end that saw the released WWE superstar, R-Truth, make his return and attack the Cenation Leader.

This led to Rhodes capitalizing and picking up the victory for his team. With R-Truth’s return to WWE, it seems he would be reigniting his feud with John Cena, while it remains to be seen what is next for The American Nightmare.
