Wayne Gretzky’s daughter Paulina Gretzky is turning heads once again with her effortlessly chic golf course style, but one detail in her look has sparked a controversy in the sports community.
On the ShopLTK page, she shared a photo of herself on the golf course, working out too. She shared the photo on her page, plus her Instagram story with the caption reading, “Another day on the course! Went with a red and black look and these sneakers tie it altogether.❤️🖤⛳️”

While this seems like a chic workout fit, with the main colors being black and red, there’s a detail sports fans are taking note of.
In both the Instagram story and her ShopLTK, the mom of two shouted out what hat she was wearing: a Florida Panthers hat, which is a team her dad never played for. (Wayne has played for the Indianapolis Racers, Edmonton Oilers, Los Angeles Kings, St. Louis Blues, and the New York Rangers.)
Now, for those who don’t know, the Florida Panthers are an NHL team, one she has been seen rooting for. Back in May 2025, she shared a series of photos of her and her husband Dustin Johnson rooting for the Panthers. She posted the photos with the caption reading, “panthers club.”
Now, before you wonder: No, from what we can see, the father-daughter duo is still as close as ever.

However, the Panthers and Oilers (Wayne’s old team) are battling it out on the ice rink, with the Florida Panthers’ 5-4 overtime win over the Oilers in Game 2.
Paulina posted this photo around the time the score came out. However, around the same time, Wayne took a jab at the Panthers, noting how Florida’s no-state-income-tax franchises might gain an upper hand in the talent war, per The Times of India via MSN.
Hey, sports can get crazy, but we’re not worried about Paulina and Wayne’s bond! And we’re always inspired by Paulina’s style.
