‘Top Chef’ Season 22 Finale: My Predictions for Who’s Taking Home $250,000 After Final Elimination

As Top Chef Season 22 is reaching its thrilling finale, the pressure is at an all-time high. With just one final elimination standing between the remaining chefs and the coveted $250,000 prize, the competition has never been so intense. Among the talented finalists is Tristen Epps, and for me, he’s definitely standing out as a frontrunner.

His exceptional skills and consistent performances have made him a fan favorite. Let’s dive deeper to understand why he is poised to take the top prize.

Tristen Epps is my Top Chef winner – here’s why

Top Chef has been a go-to show for all culinary fans, known for its high-stakes challenges and, of course, the grand prize. Now, as Season 22 edges closer to its finale, social media is buzzing with fans supporting their favorite participating chefs. While everyone has their own preference, for me, it’s Tristen Epps, who is currently the frontrunner of the show.

That’s right – from the very first Quickfire of the season, he had something the others didn’t: clarity. Every dish he brought forth was not just beautiful to look at, but it was bursting with flavors, stories, and precise technique.

I’ve watched enough Top Chef to know that early favorites can stumble fast, but Tristen? He’s only sharpened as the season progressed.

The most pivotal moment came when he was informed that his stepfather, the man who practically raised him, had passed away. He had the opportunity to leave everything behind and go back home to be with his family. But he did what many would not have been able to do. He not only stayed back but also pushed his team to win that challenge under his leadership. And for me, that’s true Top Chef winner behavior.

He often lifts others up without overshadowing them, and that kind of presence matters in a chef.

At the moment, three chefs are in the final run: Shuai, Bailey, and, of course, Tristen. While all three are equally capable of winning the grand $250,000 prize, if we look at overall performance, Tristen has consistently outshone the rest. And that, to me, is the mark of a true Top Chef.

While these are just my thoughts, anything can happen in the season finale, which is all set to take place on June 12 in Milan, Italy.

What All Do We Know About Top Chef Season 22 Finale?

After spending most of the season in Canada for the first time ever, Top Chef Season 22 is wrapping things up with a two-part finale in Milan, Italy. The first episode aired on June 5, where the final four chefs tackled a risotto Quickfire and went head-to-head in a three-part battle with help from Olympic and Paralympic athletes.

At the end of the day, it was Cesar Murillo who had to pack his knives and leave. This left three chefs in the running: Tristen, Shuai, and Bailey. Now, all eyes are on the second and final episode, airing on June 12. Here, the final three chefs will be asked to create the best four-course meal of their lives for a table full of legends.

This includes Carlo Cracco, Richard Blais, and Clare Smyth, to name a few. The judges’ table includes Kristen Kish, Gail Simmons, and Tom Colicchio, as well as Food & Wine Editor-in-Chief Hunter Lewis, to crown the winner. The prize? It’s the biggest in Top Chef history.

The winner will take home $250,000 and other perks such as $125,000 in flight credits, a Food & Wine feature, and a headlining dinner at the historic James Beard House, to name a few. So, with just one episode left and three chefs standing, it’s going to be a fierce fight to the finish.

Part 2 of the Top Chef Season 22 finale is set to air on June 12 on Bravo.
