As rumors fly of a potential romance between Delaney Rowe and BJ Novak, the TikTok star is giving a cryptic update on her love life.
“I’m dating,” Rowe, 29, said on the Wednesday, June 11, episode of the “Boy Problems” podcast. “The cuffs aren’t on, like, I’m not fully boo’ed up, but I am dating and it’s going OK.”
Rowe and Novak, 45, have been spotted together several times, dating back to December 2024 when they were seen at the Bowery Hotel in New York City. Neither has commented publicly on the rumors.
Rowe, a former personal chef for celebrities, admitted that her love life has been “up and down.”

“It’s a little dramatic right now,” she continued. “It’s not him. It’s me. I was the problem and I had to sort of reconcile with that recently.”
She added, “I was not sure and so I was noncommittal for a long period of time when he was very sure. Now I am sure and he’s like, ‘I don’t really trust your intentions at this point.’”
But Rowe is working through it. She expressed confidence in her current relationship, saying, “I think it’s gonna go my way.”
As for Novak, he tends to keep his personal life private. He previously had an on-and-off relationship with The Office costar Mindy Kaling, similar to the relationship their characters had on the show, and was later linked to model Ceilidh Garten.

Rowe, for her part, opened up about one common problem she’s had in dating — that men expect her to be the same person she portrays on social media. She has racked up millions of followers for her impressions of “cringe” movie stereotypes and characters.
“I will say I’ve gone on a date where I had a guy sort of be like, ‘Wait, can you do that girl right now?’ And I was like, ‘Oh, buddy, no,’” she said, adding, “We’re not going on a date again.”
“I’m acting in these videos and I think people sometimes forget that,” she continued. “They see a normal interview of me and they comment, ‘Oh wow, she really is insufferable.’ I’m like, that’s just an easy joke to make… just, come on.”
During a 2023 interview with The Cut, Rowe explained that all she’s doing is mimicking what everyone sees on TV and in the movies.
“I love movies and television, and all of the characters and the tropes that I make fun of are things that I really love and grew up watching,” she said. “People are like, Why is it so accurate? It’s because I’m not reinventing the wheel. I’m just doing things that I’ve seen.”
