In the chaotic universe of Helldivers 2, the Federation asks for nothing more than cooperation between you and your teammates. This is rather important if you want to complete the objectives and extract safely from a hostile planet. While we are speaking of how coordination matters, at least one player in Helldivers universe is currently stuck with a team of clueless players.
If you don’t believe us, browse through Reddit and you will find dozens of players complaining about it. Recently, a Reddit user shared their experience of fighting against the Illuminate with a bunch of random players. Expressing their frustration, the Redditor hilariously mocks the rookies for not being able to defeat the enemies.
As a fellow Helldivers 2 player, you might feel this user’s pain

A few hours ago, a Redditor called u/xedralya shared their experience when a bunch of randoms dived with them. Quite literally, this guy has struck a chord with all the like-minded players, making them come out and drop their responses under their post. If you are a fellow Helldivers 2 player, you may find this entire thread relatable.
I’m not sure people know how to fight the Illuminate and it drives me crazy.

In their post, the OP says how their teammates are getting humbled by the Illuminate. For those who don’t know, Illuminate is an in-game faction, which is home to a variety of creatures like the Stringrays, Leviathans, etc. As a normal player, you will use your weapons to counter such enemies (duh). However, this unlucky player got teamed up with players who won’t do anything but die.
According to u/xedralya, their teammates got overwhelmed by a bunch of Stringrays. Instead of shooting as a first resort, the randoms did nothing but complain in the chat box. To this, our frustrated Redditor says:
Complaining about the Stingrays in chat does not deal any damage to the Stingrays.
If you browse through the entire post, you will see the above statement quoted by a bunch of users, expressing their “frustration.” Apart from this, the user also complained about the lack of strategy amongst the teammates when fighting against the Leviathan, a bomb ship. While the teammates should take cover and try to blast off the Leviathan, they simply stand in the open field, vulnerably taking damage.
This Reddit post clearly dictates the disappointment of a veteran Helldivers 2 player, who randomly dives with a bunch of random noob teammates.
Skill-based matchmaking system must be added to Helldivers 2

A skill-based matchmaking allows players to dive into a lobby with players similar to their rankings. In this method, the system automatically takes the match history, kills, ranks, and other stats of a player into account. Based on this information, a player gets matched with another player of similar stats.
As of now, Helldivers 2 does not have this feature, despite being requested by a lot of players. Hence, veterans get stuck with low-ranked players and vice versa. If the developers manage to add this feature, it can solve the issue entirely. Not only will this help veteran players, but also the rookies. Only a few games like Call of Duty have implemented this multiplayer feature to reduce toxicity among teammates.
A lot of posts on Reddit also highlight the issues faced by rookies when they spawn with high-ranked players. It basically makes them feel useless throughout the entire session. So yes, Helldivers 2 needs to improve things, or else they may receive negative feedback from the community.
