Tarek El Moussa got into a physical altercation with an unknown man while in Las Vegas with his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa, and their parents, Us Weekly can confirm.
The fight occurred at the Palazzo at the Venetian Resort on Thursday, June 5, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed to Us. Authorities responded to a battery incident after receiving a call at 11:06 p.m. local time.
Witnesses claimed Tarek, 43, knocked the other man out after allegedly kneeing him in the head, per TMZ, who was first to report the news. When police arrived on scene, they opted to give Tarek a citation instead of detaining him, Us can confirm.
A source close to the HGTV star later said that Tarek was protecting his elderly father when the fight broke out. Once the police were on scene, the other man involved in the altercation reportedly refused medical treatment as well.

Despite the scuffle, Tarek and Heather, 37, as well as their parents appeared to have a great time in Sin City. The couple, who tied the knot in 2021, were in Las Vegas in support of Tarek’s speaking event.

In the video, Heather highlighted the group’s first night out at Mayfair and her and Tarek’s outfits for the occasion. On day two, Heather joined her parents as well as Tarek’s mom and dad at the speaking event to cheer on her spouse.
They celebrated his speech with drinks and another night out with a Vegas show before flying back to Orange County, California.

“That’s a wrap! We had the best time & loved being all together!” Heather wrote at the end of the video, sharing a group snap on stage after Tarek’s discussion.
Tarek’s ex-wife — and the couple’s The Flip Off costar — Christina Haack replied in the comments, writing, “So fun.” (Tarek and Haack, 41, split in 2016 after seven years of marriage. The exes share two children: daughter Taylor, 14, and son Brayden, 9.)
