It’s that time of the year when every gamer around the world unites to get a glimpse of their most anticipated games of the year and beyond, alongside explosive new reveals.
You guessed it, the summer gaming season, marked by E3 before its cancellation, has officially kicked off this year with PlayStation’s June State of Play, followed by Summer Game Fest and many more events on the way.
As always, the showcase will be hosted by industry veteran Geoff Keighley, and it’s undoubtedly the biggest summer gaming event where AAA and indie developers join forces to announce world premieres. Need all the juicy details? Just scroll down below.
Where and when to watch Summer Game Fest 2025?
Summer Game Fest 2025 will be streamed live from the YouTube Theatre in Los Angeles, and you can watch it from the comfort of your homes via The Game Awards’ YouTube or Twitch channel.
Worry not if you miss the livestream, as the entire show will be uploaded after the stream ends. The show will begin on June 6 at 2 pm PT / 5 pm ET / 9 pm GMT, as announced on the official website, but for folks living in different time zones, we’ve got you covered:
- 2 pm PDT for the West Coast of North America
- 5 pm EDT for the East Coast of North America
- 10 pm BST for the U.K.
- 11 pm CEST for Western Mainland Europe
- 6 am JST in Japan (June 7)
The show is set to run around 2 hours, featuring an abundance of video game announcements, trailers, updates on already announced titles, surprise reveals, and, of course, exciting world premieres. Geoff loves his world premieres (and Steam Deck)!
A countdown has already begun, as you can see from the YouTube embed above, and it’s just a matter of a couple of hours before we learn what to expect from the rest of the year and next year in gaming.
What to expect from Summer Game Fest 2025?

Summer Game Fest’s official account on X has already confirmed that more than 60 partners will appear, including PlayStation, Xbox, Steam and much more.
But keep your expectations in check and do not go in thinking we’ll see new footage from Marvel’s Wolverine or something as outrageous as Bloodborne on PC. It will take something stronger than a miracle for either of those to happen.
Expect more Death Stranding 2 since Hideo Kojima’s already announced to be making an appearance on the show. It won’t be surprising if he revealed more details about Overdose or PlayStation’s own Metal Gear Solid, Physint, since Kojima is allergic to taking breaks and resting.
Don’t miss it when Hideo Kojima takes the stage live at #SummerGameFest next Friday, June 6.

Geoff also released a hype trailer, which he edited himself, featuring snippets from already released games like Doom: The Dark Ages, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 (DLC maybe?) and from upcoming titles such as Death Stranding 2, Mafia: The Old Country, among others, so we can expect to see them having their moment on stage.
Although IO Interactive is having its own event later, the developers are confirmed as a partner for Summer Game Fest, so we can expect to get a glimpse of James Bond in 007 First Light.
Rumors have popped up suggesting that the next Resident Evil and Tomb Raider titles will make an appearance at the show. Since Capcom and Amazon games are confirmed to be present at this year’s Summer Game Fest, it’s hard not to believe that we’ll get an update on what’s next for both the Resident Evil and Tomb Raider series.
The Summer Game Fest showcase will be followed by the Day of the Devs event, giving insight into upcoming indie titles, and lastly, the Xbox Games Showcase will take place on June 8, with The Outer Worlds 2 dedicated direct happening immediately after the show.
