Additionally, Juniper Lake Road is currently closed to vehicle access due to damage sustained during the 2021 Dixie Fire. Efforts are underway to reopen this road, although it remains closed to pedestrian traffic when snow-covered.
Some facilities and areas of the park remain closed as a result of the 2021 Dixie Fire. Visitors are urged to respect all closure signs and be aware of potential hazards in reopened areas, including fallen trees, loose rocks, undefined trails, and hidden stumps.
