He revealed that he has been diagnosed with cancer, and as soon as he shared this sad news, One Piece fans from all over the world came together to offer their support for him.
The One Piece fan who will never reach Laugh Tale
A few days ago, a Reddit user u/avram_ came to the One Piece subreddit with a post titled Thank you Everyone. The post explained that the user was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, and he might not be there when Luffy finds the One Piece treasure and becomes the Pirate King. He was sad that he wouldn’t join the One Piece fandom in celebrating the conclusion of the series.
He revealed that currently he is 23 years old, and he started watching One Piece when he was just a 5-year-old kid. He even went on to say that One Piece was his whole life, and throughout the journey of Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates, he experienced a variety of emotions that made him fall in love with One Piece over and over again.
The One Piece fan explained that although he won’t be able to experience the revelations of the many mysteries of Eiichiro Oda’s masterpiece, he is happy that he could leave it all to his imagination. He then thanked the entire One Piece community and expressed happiness for everyone who will get to witness the end of one of the greatest stories in history.
One Piece community offers its support
As soon as the Reddit user shared this post, it instantly went viral, and the entire One Piece fandom came together to offer their support. The post got 13 thousand upvotes and over 500 comments from the One Piece fans offering their love and praise to the fan who will leave the journey of the Straw Hat Pirates before it reaches its epic and thrilling conclusion.
Fans decided to cheer him up before his final goodbye to the journey of the One Piece world that has entertained us for almost 30 years.
While some fans expressed their sadness that one of their nakamas won’t join them until the end, others referenced epic One Piece moments, which were based on the deaths of characters.
Nevertheless, it is truly sad that one of the One Piece fans won’t be able to experience the joy of Luffy becoming the Pirate King and liberating the world. Let’s hope that whatever life he has is filled with love and happiness, which would help him bid a satisfactory farewell to the world.
