Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are going through a rough patch in their relationship.
“They have been spending more and more time apart,” a source exclusively tells Us Weekly. “They’ve grown apart and aren’t living the same lives anymore.”
A second insider adds that their inner circle is aware the couple aren’t totally on the same page at the moment. “It’s an unspoken thing that they are having issues and have for a while now,” the second source says. “Everyone around them knows.”
According to the second insider, Bloom, 48, is keeping his relationship issues “close to the vest” but has been “out and about more often” without Perry, 40, who is currently on her worldwide Lifetimes Tour.

“Katy has been very busy working, and they are apart often,” the second source adds. “That has caused tension.”
Although the duo got engaged nearly six years ago in 2019, plans to say “I do” have been on hold. The second source tells Us the pair “never set a date for the wedding or got around to planning anything and Orlando is ‘over it.’”
“Things aren’t good,” a third insider adds.
Despite the physical space between them, however, Bloom and Perry have still been supporting each other by “liking” each other’s social media posts. Bloom was also present in April when Perry traveled to space on a Blue Origin rocket with an all-female crew that included Gayle King and Lauren Sánchez.
Perry and Bloom were first linked in January 2016, after they were spotted at multiple Golden Globes afterparties together. One year later, the pair briefly split in March 2017 before officially getting back together by February 2018.
In September 2024, Perry revealed what led to the breakup early in their relationship.
“We weren’t really in it from day one,” she explained on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast. “He was in a way because he had just done a time of celibacy and he had set intentions. I was fresh out of a relationship and I was just like, ‘I can’t do this anymore. I need to swim in a different pond.’”
Perry went on to reveal that she reconnected with Bloom after they separately worked on themselves at a weeklong retreat.

After rekindling their romance, Bloom proposed to Perry on Valentine’s Day in February 2019. The couple shared the happy news via Instagram at the time alongside a photo of Perry’s engagement ring. Later that month, Perry revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that Bloom popped the question during a helicopter ride, calling the moment “really sweet.”
In March 2020, Perry announced that she was pregnant with her and Bloom’s first child, showing off her baby bump at the end of her “Never Worn White” music video. (He is also the father of son Flynn, whom he welcomed with ex-wife Miranda Kerr in January 2011.)

The duo’s daughter, Daisy Dove, was born in August 2020, with Perry and Bloom gushing in a statement at the time that they were “floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter.”

In the years that followed, the pair were open about their ups and downs, revealing that they participated in counseling and, as Perry shared via Instagram in April 2023, “continuously put in the work” to keep their spark alive.
“I wouldn’t change it for anything, even when sometimes it feels like, ‘How do we do this?’” Bloom said on Trevor Noah’s “What Now?” podcast in April 2024. “Because we’ve got these two giant careers and lives — and hers is even … it’s like a universe sometimes.”

After postponing their wedding, a source exclusively told Us Weekly in May 2024 that Perry and Bloom preferred to tie the knot “when the time [was] right for both of them.”
Perry was previously married to Russell Brand from 2010 to 2012, while Bloom was married to Kerr from 2010 to 2013.
