Kate Middleton is standing by her husband, Prince William, by shutting out Prince Harry after what has been deemed a betrayal of trust on the young Prince’s part.
The Princess of Wales reportedly has no plans to reach out to her brother-in-law who has been estranged from the rest of the royals for many years now. An unnamed royal source informed US Weekly that Prince William and Middleton “just don’t understand why Harry doesn’t stay quiet.” The Duke of Sussex has spoken publicly about his royal relatives on numerous occasions, often not painting them in the best light.
Kate Middleton is supporting her husband
Speaking to Fox News Digital, Royal expert Kinsey Schofield claimed that Middleton was standing firm with her husband. William has been “deeply hurt” by his brother’s actions according to Schofield but what has apparently hurt him most is Harry’s comments about his wife.
“But what cuts the deepest is Harry’s treatment of Catherine. She’s always loved him, always treated him like a little brother. That’s the betrayal William won’t forget… But Harry never seems to think about the consequences.”
Middleton was reportedly “saddened” by the fallout between her husband and his brother but she won’t be getting involved. This comes after Palace sources claimed that the Princess of Wales was doing everything in her power to try and broker some sort of peace between William and Harry. The sources claimed that Kate was in communication with the wayward Prince despite William making it clear that he did not want anything to do with his brother anymore.
Some observant royal fans also noted what looked to be a subtle nod to Harry last month when Kate and Camilla both wore items of clothing and accessories they had worn to Harry and Meghan’s wedding in 2018. The seemingly coordinated move had many convinced it was a show of support from Middleton and the Queen.
What does this mean for Harry?
While most of the royal family have shut the door on the Duke of Sussex, there was a glimmer of hope that perhaps he had Kate fighting in his corner. It meant his desired reconciliation might still be possible. Now that seems like a total pipe dream as even Middleton apparently has no desire to let Harry back in. She seemingly cannot forgive him for his numerous betrayals.
Kate Middleton and Prince Harry were pretty close before everything fell apart in 2020. The two apparently “shared a fun humor and were often seen giggling together at events.” Harry has managed to turn even one of his closest friends in the royal family against him by repeatedly talking to the press. His 2023 memoir also caused a lot of hurt for William and Kate so it’s no wonder she’s standing with her husband and turning her back on Harry.
