Before fame found its way through the dark corners of Nevermore Academy to reach Jenna Ortega, the actress had already appeared in numerous Hollywood projects.
Although it was Tim Burton’s Wednesday that essentially put her name on the Hollywood map, the actress had already been involved with projects like Iron Man 3 and Insidious: Chapter 2. However, I was today years old when I realized that the iconic actress also starred in one of the longest-running shows of all time, which also starred Jensen Ackles!
Jenna Ortega was a part of Days of Our Lives!
Yeah… that show about which Matt LeBlanc’s Joey was so excited to star in during one of the episodes of FRIENDS, that show! Iconic actress Jenna Ortega, who the world knows as Wednesday Addams, was actually a part of that sitcom!

Well, you would be surprised by knowing how many times you have seen Jenna Ortega in Hollywood projects, but wouldn’t know that it is her until you read an article like this. That’s exactly what happened with me when I realized that Ortega was once a part of Days of Our Lives.
Days of Our Lives was a drama show that started airing in 1965 and aired a whopping 15,000 episodes until it concluded in 2022.
During the run of the show, iconic actress Jenna Ortega (who was a child at that time) portrayed the role of a young girl named Hayley who struggles with the death of her mother in Salem (independently confirmed by IMDb).
The young girl had good grades but stopped speaking after her mother’s death. Ortega’s character is later helped by Eileen Davidson’s Kristen DiMera and Father Eric. A special scene in which Kristen Mera reassures Hayley that everything will be alright received special attention and love from the world.
The show also starred Jensen Ackles at a point (which seems surprising to know), but Ortega having a role in Days of Our Lives seems like a forbidden time travel. Well, that’s not the only role that feels illegal for Ortega since she has also appeared in the MCU already!
Jenna Ortega is also a part of the MCU!
Not as any superhero or a very specific MCU character, however, the actor did have a small role in the 2013 Robert Downey Jr. movie, Iron Man 3. Her lines were cut, and she had a very minor role in the film, but it was still memorable enough that people often remember her while watching the MCU movie.

Although the actress was quite sad that her dialogue was cut and even her name was taken away in the credits, Ortega also stated that it was one of her earlier career roles.
In Iron Man 3, the Wednesday star portrayed a brief role as the Vice President’s granddaughter. She appears for a very short time in a wheelchair and is very hopeful and happy to see his grandfather. Despite the innocence of the scene, Ortega’s name was cut from the final credits of the movie.
The actress has publicly claimed that she will not return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe because of what they did to her back when she was a child. However, it is always fun to know that Ortega was in front of our eyes all along; we were just not too attentive to see her.
Days of Our Lives is available for streaming on Peacock. Iron Man 3 is available to stream on Disney+ (USA).
