We are all aware of Helldivers 2‘s unique enemy factions, who are constantly gearing up to cause mayhem on Super Earth. Be Automatons, Illuminates, or Terminids, nobody likes the glorious shine of the Federation of Super Earth. Of course, they’d do whatever possible to extinguish the valor of our mighty soldiers.
The constant tug-of-war between these factions has caused every faction to seek progress and arm better. From the looks of it, the Automatons have managed to upgrade the Striders to defy physics, as one player discovered the new anomaly. Don’t worry, you won’t be seeing them, unless Arrowhead decides to make them official.
Automatons have found ways to bend time and space in Helldivers 2?
We all know about the blood-thirsty murder machines created by those socialist Automatons in Helldivers 2. But did they upgrade the Strider to time and space? Don’t worry, it’s just a glitch one player encountered while fending against the Automaton.
On the r/helldivers2 subreddit, a post popped up from u/Sad-Needleworker-590, where they were trying to shoot down an Automaton Dropship. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a Strider fell on the player. It’s already surprising, they didn’t get crushed by the 100-ton metal dog created by those murder bots.
If you’re wondering how they survived it, it might be possible that the Strider was already eliminated, and the body physics glitched. Thus causing the metal dog to defy the boundaries of physics and float to the skies and explode. Not the usual kind of fireworks you’d see in the game, but it sure looked glorious.
However, you’d expect the Strider must have been destroyed into pieces after the explosion, but no. The player noticed the Strider’s body was floating in the sky after the black smoke had disappeared. The SEAF has surely lost the battle of scientific progress against the Automatons after displaying that.
Jokes aside, the glitch might be funny to observe, as it got a lot of upvotes on the subreddit. However, developers keep a close eye on these pages so that they can stay connected with the community. If one of them gets the grand idea of creating an Automaton that defies physics, would you still smile? Yeah, thought so.
The Helldivers 2 community can’t stop laughing at the flying metal dog
It’s hilarious for us to see a 100-ton metal robot floating in the warzone sky, and why wouldn’t it be? A colossal robot fell on one of our fellow SEAF soldiers, only to transform into something atrocious. Some community members even joked about it by quoting the “what the dog doing?” meme.

Some analysts from the community are even calling the Strider’s move a “tactical tackle” since it RKOed out of nowhere. But again, it could have happened because the metal dog got too many belly rubs to cause a galactic zoomie.
Regardless, the flying Strider has made it into the ranks of mythic entities in Helldivers 2, just like the existence of Eagle-1 pilot. Also, this event isn’t exclusive to u/Sad-Needleworker-590, as more players claimed to have seen this bug happening. So is it an intentional teaser from Arrowhead? Well, we don’t know.
