TRIBUTES are being paid to a young boy who died after he developed a sudden heart condition on a bouncy castle earlier this week.
Antony Perissato de Aguiar, from Laois, died unexpectedly and peacefully at the Crumlin Hospital in Dublin on June 4.
His parents have said they are “devastated” following the death of their “little man”.
They said on RIP.ie: “We are devastated to announce that our little man Antony Perissato de Aguiar, age 7, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully at the Crumlin Hospital on the 4th June with his loving parents.
“Antony was healthy and full of joy playing in a bouncy castle in a beautiful day when he suffered from a sudden heart condition.”
The young boy’s funeral service will take place this afternoon.
The post continues: “Dad, Raphael, and Mom, Karla, are very blessed to have Antony as their child and he will be forever missed by his little brother, Gianlucca, his cousin, Isaac, his beloved grandparents, Sandra, Rogerio, Maeli, Carlos and Solange, and his many friends from our Brazilian community, his school, Scoil Bhride and his after-school, After the Bell.
“Reposing at Keegan’s Funeral Home, Portlaoise on Sunday 8th June from 2pm to 4pm with prayers at 3pm.
“A private cremation will take place on Monday.”
A number of people have sent their condolences to Antony’s family following the tragedy.
One person said: “What a gorgeous little boy, no words can express the sadness reading this notice.
“Sincere condolences to all of your family at this heartbreaking time.”
Another wrote: “May your precious little boy rest in peace.. thinking of your family and little friends.”
A third message reads: “My deepest sympathy to Antony’s heartbroken parents, his little brother and all those who loved Antony.
“I am truly sorry for the loss of your beautiful little boy.
“I hope your memories bring you comfort in time and the knowledge that his classmates in Senior Infants and teachers in Scoil Bhride will hold very special memories of him too.
“May your gentle little boy rest in peace.”
A fourth person said: “Sending deepest and heartfelt condolences to all of the family at this unimaginably difficult time.
“May you rest in peace with the angels Antony.”
