Seasonal fire restrictions begin Friday, June 6 on BLM-managed lands in central and western Central California
To help keep communities safe and protect the natural beauty of public lands, seasonal fire restrictions will begin Friday, June 6 on BLM-managed lands in central and western Central California. These restrictions apply across 19 counties managed by the Ukiah and Mother Lode Field Offices.
The affected counties include Amador, Calaveras, Colusa, Glenn, Lake, Marin, Mendocino, Napa, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Sierra, Solano, Sonoma, Sutter, Tehama, Yolo, and Yuba.
Prohibited activities include:
• Campfires or open flames (except in developed campgrounds or with a valid permit)
• Smoking outside enclosed areas
• Welding or spark-producing tools
• Target shooting with metal targets or spark-producing ammunition
• Using fireworks or pyrotechnic devices
Restrictions remain in effect until fire danger subsides.
