Reiss Black Friday 2025: what to expect this November

REISS is a go-to brand, known for its sleek and sophisticated designs; there’s plenty to choose from for all occasions.

Shoppers who want to add key pieces for the season to their wardrobe while scoring big discounts should keep an eye on the Reiss Black Friday sale coming up this November.

In recent years, the luxury high-street label hasn’t traditionally offered a specific Black Friday sale.

However, savvy shoppers may still find seasonal discounts during November, as Reiss often runs limited-time promotions.

It’s also worth noting that retailers such as John Lewis and Next will also host individual sales, so it’s worth looking out for Reiss deals at other stockists too.

In this guide, we have outlined everything you need to know about the Reiss Black Friday sale, from the dates to what sort of deals were on offer last year.

When is Black Friday 2025?

Black Friday 2025 falls on 28 November.

As always, Black Friday lands on the last Friday of November, which is the day after Thanksgiving in the US.

What was once a post-US holiday sale day, now marks the start of a weekend-long shopping extravaganza that culminates with Cyber Monday.

Although plenty of deals start dropping several weeks before the official date.

In recent years, we’ve seen retailers choose to begin their sales earlier, giving consumers more time to browse and shop ahead of the festive season.

Although Reiss doesn’t typically launch dedicated Black Friday deals, it’s worth keeping an eye on the Reiss website from early November for any exclusive savings or flash sales.

Is Reiss taking part in Black Friday this year?

Rather than a site-wide sale, Reiss tends to offer selective discounts on key categories and pieces, which can be a great opportunity to invest in premium staples at a lower price point.

In previous years, these promotions have included price cuts on categories like coats, knitwear and occasionwear.

Since Reiss focuses on quality over quantity, the discounts may not be as steep as those from fast fashion rivals, but you can still find good savings on timeless, well-crafted pieces that rarely go on sale.

You might also find discounts from other retailers such as John Lewis and Next, which will host individual sales.

What to expect from the Reiss Black Friday sale 2025?

Reiss deals

As Reiss doesn’t typically host a traditional Black Friday sale, you shouldn’t expect doorbuster deals or drastic discounts across the board.

However, the brand is known to run selective offers throughout November, particularly across key autumn/winter items in men’s, women’s, and kidswear categories.

Reiss shoppers should look out for percentage savings on selected lines, special promotions, or even flash sales.

While details for 2025 are yet to be confirmed, in previous years we have seen 20% off outerwear and discounts on selected knitwear – perfect for those looking to update their winter wardrobe.

Keep checking the Reiss website and sign up for their newsletter to be among the first to know when any promotions go live.

What was in the Reiss sale last year?

In 2024, Reiss didn’t have a dedicated Black Friday sale, but there were still opportunities to save throughout November.

The brand ran intermittent discounts throughout the month on selected items, including coats, tailored blazers and party-ready dresses

While these promotions weren’t branded as Black Friday offers, they were perfectly timed for shoppers looking to refresh their wardrobes ahead of the festive season.

Expect something similar this year, with offers on premium autumn/winter outerwear, smart tailoring and luxe knits

There were some discounts on Reiss products in separate promotions for Black Friday.

When is Cyber Monday 2025 and is Reiss taking part?

Cyber Monday 2025 takes place on Monday, December 1.

Originally dedicated to online deals, Cyber Monday now offers many of the same discounts seen during Black Friday.

For those who prefer to shop online, it’s a good idea to monitor the website over the Black Friday weekend, as you might spot a few extra bargains or find items restocked.

However, don’t expect a traditional Reiss sale.

The brand usually extends any November promotions across the weekend so shoppers can pick up discounted items until the end of Cyber Monday

How much does Reiss delivery cost?

When shopping the Reiss Black Friday sale, it’s essential to factor in shipping costs.

For UK customers, next-day delivery is £5.95 or free for orders over £300.

Reiss also offers a free click-and-collect service if you prefer to pick up your order from a local store.

It is worth noting that during Black Friday, delivery times at Reiss may be slightly longer due to increased demand.

So it’s worth planning ahead if you need your purchases for a specific date.

Does Reiss offer any other discounts?

Yes, while Reiss doesn’t usually go big on Black Friday, there are other ways to save.

For instance, you can sign up for the Reiss newsletter and get a 10% discount on your first order.

The brand also has an outlet section online where you can find previous-season pieces at reduced prices all year round.

Additionally, Reiss runs seasonal sales throughout the year, including on Boxing Day.

New alert as cases of typhoid that kills 1 in 5 hit record high in UK – are you at risk of the Victorian disease?

TYPHOID fever, a disease that notoriously claimed the life of Prince Albert, husband of Queen Victoria, has hit record levels in Britain.

With most new cases linked to travellers returning to the UK, health officials are urging Brits to get vaccinated when visiting countries where the disease is rife.

Experts have warned cases of typhoid are on the rise in the UK

Some 702 imported cases of typhoid and paratyphoid fever, deadly bacterial infections that can kill one in five if untreated, were reported in 2024, according to the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA).

This marks an eight per cent increase from 645 cases the previous year, and the highest ever recorded.

Typhoid is a bacterial illness that, without swift treatment, can lead to fatal complications such as internal bleeding or ruptured organs.

It is caused by salmonella bacteria, typically spread through food or water contaminated with infected urine or faeces.

Most British cases are linked to travel to South Asia, including India, Bangladesh, or Pakistan, which has poor sanitation and limited access to clean water

Officials have also raised concerns over a troubling rise in antibiotic-resistant typhoid in Pakistan.

The mutant strain known as XDR, resistant to standard treatments, has been spreading since 2016, heightening the risk of severe complications.

Globally, around a fifth of typhoid cases are fatal, though deaths are less common in countries like the UK.

Symptoms of typhoid infection typically appear one to two weeks after exposure.

Early signs include flu-like symptoms such as fever, headache, body aches, fatigue, cough, and constipation.

As the illness progresses, symptoms worsen, with nausea, diarrhoea, and occasionally a rash. At this stage, the risk of life-threatening complications increases significantly.

With prompt treatment, such as antibiotics, the infection usually resolves within three to five days.

While the NHS offers a free typhoid vaccine for travellers to high-risk countries, no vaccine exists for paratyphoid, which is caused by a related but distinct bacteria.

“It is important that travellers remain alert and plan ahead of going abroad – even if you’re visiting friends and relatives abroad or it’s somewhere you visit often,” Dr Philip Veal from UKHSA said.

He urged people to visit the Government’s Travel Health Pro website for information on what vaccines or medications tourists may need before travelling to an overseas destination.

Dr Philip added this was especially important for pregnant people or those hoping to have one in the near future as they could be at heightened risk.

“If you are pregnant or trying to conceive there are special precautions you should take, so please speak to a healthcare professional before planning your trip,” she said.

While most cases are now contacted abroad, typhoid was once a major public health issue in Britain, killing roughly 16,000 people every year in the 1800s.

The disease struck people from all walks of life, from overcrowded slums to royal palaces. Prince Albert, Queen Victoria’s husband, succumbed to typhoid fever at just 42 years old.

‘Typhoid Mary’

Typhoid has long crossed borders, with its most infamous carrier, Irish cook Mary Mallon, who emigrated to the United States in 1884 and settled in New York.

She was detained after unknowingly infecting the American families she cooked for through the food she served them.

It was believed she carried the disease silently, with no symptoms, infecting between 51 and 122 people with the disease – three of which died.

Dubbed “Typhoid Mary,” she spent 26 years in quarantine until her death.

The nickname has since become a term for someone who spreads disease or other misfortune.

How to avoid typhoid fever

To protect yourself from typhoid, make sure to see your GP at least two weeks before travelling to find out if you need a vaccine.

Even if you were born or raised in countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, or India, or have travelled there before, you may still need a vaccination. The vaccine offers protection for around three years.

As there’s no vaccine for paratyphoid, be cautious with food and drink.

Follow the rule: Boil it, cook it, peel it, or forget it! Eat only freshly prepared, piping hot food, or fruit you’ve peeled yourself, like bananas or mangoes.

Stick to bottled or cooled boiled water, ensuring bottles are sealed or opt for sparkling water to avoid refills.

Use bottled or boiled water to brush your teeth, and avoid tap water entirely.

Wash your hands regularly with soap and water, especially before eating, drinking, or preparing food, and after using the toilet.

Avoid uncooked foods, including:

  • Salads
  • Raw or undercooked shellfish
  • Buffets (unless dishes are steaming hot)
  • Unpasteurised milk and cheese
  • Ice cubes
  • Tap water
  • Ice cream
  • Cold desserts in restaurants
  • Leftovers

Taking these precautions can significantly reduce your risk of infection.

Leinster coach Tyler Bleyendaal reveals ‘skill error’ Sam Prendergast must improve for URC final against Bulls

LEINSTER coach Tyler Bleyendaal has backed Sam Prendergast to rediscover his shooting boots ahead of the URC final against the Bulls.

Although Prendergast weighed in with seven points as the Blues swept aside the Glasgow Warriors 37-19 last weekend to book their place in the Croke Park decider, the fly-half missed five out of eight kicks.

The former Munster out-half is looking to help guide Leinster to URC glory

Nevertheless, it is anticipated the Kildare native’s name will once again be included in the Leinster XV when they take on the South Africans in the decider at GAA HQ this Saturday.

And assistant coach Bleyendaal — who previously lined out in the No 10 jersey for the vast majority of his 62 outings for Munster between 2015 and 2020 — said he is happy with the progress of the 22-year-old Ireland international, who made his debut for Leinster in April 2022.

He said: “I actually thought Sam on the weekend played a good match.

“His goal-kicking maybe was one skill error, but the way he led the team around, I thought, was great.

“The stats showed that we played well and we applied a lot of pressure.

“I think a lot of that is from Sam’s leadership on the field.

“He is probably one of his harshest critics. It’s getting him back into the plan for this week, take the learnings.

“He has been engaged and he’s looking to get a plan in place along with the other game drivers.

“I’m enjoying Sam and how he operates. I’m sure he’s still learning but he’s a competitor.”

With the likes of Saracens and La Rochelle proving to have been bogey teams for the province during the knockout stages of the European Champions Cup, Leinster have also suffered considerable heartache against the Bulls at the business end of the URC.

After losing to the South African outfit in a semi-final encounter at the RDS in June 2022, Leinster also fell short against Jake White’s men at the penultimate phase of last season’s URC at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria.

There was another last-four loss to arch rivals Munster in between these reversals.

And with their European disappointments also thrown into the mix, it has been four years since Leinster last lifted a major piece of silverware.

That triumph was the 2021 PRO14 final against Munster with Ross Byrne and Cian Healy both playing starring roles in the 16-6 victory.

However, the experienced duo are among those who are set to depart the set-up at the end of the present campaign.

And Bleyendaal believes a win in Croker this weekend would serve as a fitting send-off for the pair.

The former All Black underage star continued: “I think the importance of the occasion, we’re excited to be in a grand final.

“We want a send-off, there’s a lot of good people in our club moving on.

“We understand we haven’t performed in the knockouts.

“There is a lot of motivation from inside, which at some stage you just have to trust that you’re going to perform at the level you need to.

“As coaches, we’ll have a plan of which direction we think we need to go to get that out.

“Come the end of the season, most of the work has been done and we’re just trying to get the plan in place.”

RTE locked in €5.4k battle against mice and rats invading campus – including creche & Fair City set as experts called in

RTE has had a spate of pest problems this year with rats and mice sighted in the creche, the main canteen, the wardrobe department, and even on the Fair City set.

The broadcaster has faced an ongoing battle against four-legged invaders on its sprawling Dublin 4 complex with €5,400 spent on checks and inspections over the past twelve months.

Last December, exterminators were called in after a “reported mouse sighting” in the campus creche, according to inspection logs.

A report said the area was inspected and treated and that a follow-up visit would take place within ten days.

In February, there were further problems at the creche when there was “reported mouse droppings in the kitchen.”

On the same day, another report came in from the second floor of the RTE library building where “one dead mouse was removed from the premises.”

A follow-up inspection warned that there was a large gap under the main doors of the library, which might have been the cause of the problem.

A report said: “Bristle strips are advised as it prevents easy access for rodents.

“All fly units cleaned and maintained, and new sticky boards fitted and found to be in good working order.”

In late March, Rentokil were called out after a “mouse sighting” in the main canteen.

All monitoring points were inspected and showed no signs of “lingering activity,” but two new special mouse-catching RADAR units were installed as a precaution.

Follow-up inspections on the canteen and other food areas of RTE showed no further activity, according to records.

During April, an exterminator twice found evidence of rodent activity at a rubbish compactor area, although a follow-up later that month said the problem had been resolved.

One of the reports said: “Area was inspected, further rodent activity found at the waste management area and Fair City set.”

CANTEEN REOPENED

Other pest problems included rodent droppings in a wardrobe washing area with “old rat droppings” found following a deeper investigation.

A spokesman said RTE had an ongoing contract for regular checks and inspections and where rodent activity is suspected, appropriate treatment is applied and follow-up calls arranged.

He said: “A small number of isolated minor occurrences of rodent activity have been identified over the past 12 months on RTE’s Donnybrook Campus.

“In these cases, Rentokil inspected and treated the relevant area.

“There has been no disruption to RTE’s operations during this period.

“RTE’s Main Canteen is under new management and will re-open to staff on Saturday 7th June, following an interim period to allow the new contractor to establish its operations.”
