Kate, who scored a degree in arts history, is at V&A East Storehouse, which only opened last Sunday (May 31).

The Storehouse boasts half a million exhibits and archives from the V&A collections on show which are usually tucked away in storerooms accessible to visitors for free.
Where possible glass has been removed to get visitors closer to exhibits.
During the tour, Kate has seen the storeroom in action and meet curators who collect, conserve and display the masterpieces.
It comes after the V&A East Storehouse opened in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, East London, on May 31, 2025.
It shows off everything from Elton John’s costumes and retro football shirts, to vintage Glastonbury memorabilia.
It features a huge new David Bowie exhibition, opening in September 2025, with more than 80,000 items from the star’s life.
Visitors can also see what happens behind the scenes in a museum – why and how they collect objects and how they look after them.
This includes a glimpse at conservators preserving items like clothing, paintings and puppets.
The purpose-built home includes more than 250,000 objects, 350,000 library books and 1,000 archives from the V&A’s collections
According to the website: “Because the V&A’s collections span 5,000 years of human creativity, the team at Storehouse cares for everything from the pins used to secure a 17th century ruff to a two-storey section of a maisonette flat from the Robin Hood Gardens housing estate, demolished in 2017.
In a world-first, the centre offers an ‘Order an Object experience,’ which lets visitors book in advance to see a specific item up close, along with an experienced member of staff.
The Storehouse has opened a short walk from where the new V&A East Museum is being built, and which is scheduled to open in 2026.
Princess Kate has been busy of late, having officially named HMS Glasgow by smashing a bottle of local Scottish whisky against its hull, late last month.
Joined by her husband, Prince William, she uttered the time-honoured words: “I have the pleasure to name this ship HMS Glasgow, may God bless her and all who sail on her””
Then flicked up a small red ‘launch’ button to conduct the traditional naming ritual at the BAE Systems’ shipyard in Scotstoun, on the bank of the River Clyde in Glasgow.
A bottle of exclusive single malt whisky made by the nearby Clydeside Distillery smashed into the hull in the maritime tradition.
Kate has been the ship’s sponsor since 2021 and this was her first naming ceremony for a naval vessel.
Each bottle of the whisky sold includes a donation to HMS Glasgow’s chosen charity, Place2Be, of which the Princess is patron, and which supports children’s mental health in the city.
A bagpiper marked the start of the 25-minute ceremony before a P-8 Poseidon Maritime Patrol Aircraft from 120 Squadron at RAF Lossiemouth performed a flypast.
Sir Simon Lister, managing director of BAE Systems Naval Ships, and Second Sealord Vice Admiral Sir Martin Connell, gave speeches.
Sir Martin Connell thanked the Prince and Princess for their support in reaching the milestone.

A LEGENDARY music artist has been spotted catching a no frills flight – despite penning an almighty Christmas classic.
The iconic star was seen casually on board a RyanAir plane – with no first class in sight.
InstagramMidge Ure was spotted on a RyanAir flight[/caption]
GettyMidge and co on the day Do They Know It’s Christmas? was recorded in 1984[/caption]
Born in suburban Glasgow in 1953, Midge Ure OBE rocketed to the top of the charts as one of the singers on 1984’s Band Aid anthem Do They Know It’s Christmas?.
He joined a line-up of stars including Bob Geldof, Bono, Sting and Phil Collins to record the song.
The 71-year-old told his followers on social media: “Dublin bound. The yellow and blue gives it away. Ahh the glamour.”
Fans commented: “Midge-san’s style is perfect, but his eyes are serious.”
A second applauded: “Keeping it real Mid-ge.”
A third joked: “The high life.”
“No Concorde then,” quizzed a fourth.
Another praised: “Master.”
He found fame in a host of bands aside from Ultravox and their epic hit Vienna, including Rich Kids, Slik and Thin Lizzy.
The star wrote: “I got close to being kicked out of our home. It must have been boring for Sheridan to have me staggering around at 2am trying to get into bed.
“It caused a rift and she asked me to stop. I did but started again – I abused her trust and couldn’t see that I was in danger of losing my family and my life.”
The Scot was previously married to the late I’m A Celeb star Annabel Giles, who died at the age of 64, in 2023.
When Annabel was 25, she ran off from her husband-to-be the day before their wedding – to pursue a relationship with Ultravox singer Midge.
Annabel and Midge married on the Caribbean island of Montserrat in 1985.
Their daughter Molly was born two years later, and the family lived in a listed Georgian mansion by the Thames in west London.
But the marriage was not to last, with Annabel and Midge separating in 1989 – although they remained good friends.
Last year, the singer-songwriter and record producer showcased his Catalogue: The Hits tour encompassing decades of huge tracks and celebrated his 70th birthday with a sold-out show at the Royal Albert Hall.

AN AUNT cut her nephew out of her £400,000 will for suggesting she move into a care home.
Simon Stock inherited his aunt Doreen’s entire estate after she died in 2021 aged 86.

But Doreen’s grand-nephew Ben Chiswick, 39, is now suing Simon and his wife Catherine in the hopes of inheriting the fortune himself.
A previous will, written in 1986, had credited Ben as Doreen’s heir.
However, his great-aunt disinherited Ben’s side of the family a year before her death – after his parents suggested she go into a care home.
In the lawsuit, he alleges that Doreen was unable to understand what she was doing when she amended the will arguing her dementia had impaired her judgment.
Both Ben and Simon claim to have been close to the deceased widow.
Ben, who moved to the US in 2017, claims she was a “fixture in his childhood.”
However, Simon was described as “the nearest thing to a son she had,” with him and his wife living minutes away from her South London home.
The will primarily concerns Doreen’s home on Charminster Road in Bromley – which is currently valued at around £400,000.
Prior to her death, Doreen is understood to have had a good relationship with Ben’s parents, Patricia and Brent Chiswick.
She had made a lasting power of attorney in their favour before changing the will shortly before her death.
Giving a statement at Central London County Court, Ben said: “Doreen and I had a really happy relationship and she understood that leaving her estate to me would make a massive difference to my life.”
Simon and Catherine’s barrister argued that he too was close with Doreen, citing evidence that she contributed to his school fees as a child.
While Doreen did have a strong relationship with Ben’s parents, it is alleged that this was ruined after they suggested she go into a care home in 2019.
Patricia then went on to arrange a “capacity assessment” for Doreen, supposedly the catalyst for her changing her will as she felt her independence was under threat.
This led to “building resentment” between the family, which “finally boiled over in the summer of 2019 when the Chiswicks made an ill-judged – though perhaps well-intentioned – suggestion to Doreen that she spend a period in residential care.”
After undergoing the assessment, a report stated she “lacked capacity” – but she had already made headway in revoking the power of attorney and changing the will according to Simon’s lawyers.
Being questioned in court, Patricia insisted they only intended for Doreen to spend a short period in care while she and her husband were away.
Patricia said: “It was simply a suggestion because we don’t usually go away for three weeks at a time, and I think she had been quite unwell and her health was deteriorating in general.
“I was concerned about leaving her and I thought it would be quite nice if she could go somewhere where she could be looked after while we were away.
“It was absolutely stressed that it was for three weeks. There was no suggestion she was going to stay there indefinitely.”
The rift was so great that Ben’s parents did not visit Doreen after the capacity assessment until her death.
However, Ben’s lawyer claims that she was “vulnerable and was behaving out of character” when she altered her will.
Simon’s lawyers claim that the aforementioned assessment was inaccurate, with other assessments stating that she did have capacity to change her will.
His lawyer said: “Doreen may have had some memory problems, but capacity and memory are different beasts” although he did acknowledge she was suffering from “mild” dementia.
He added that Doreen’s previous will was over 30 years old, making it entirely plausible that she would change her mind before her death, especially in light of ongoing disputes.
Additionally, Ben had not spoken to Doreen since moving to the US in 2017 – either in person or on the phone.
In contrast, Simon and Catherine had visited regularly up until her death.
The judge is expected to deliver a ruling at a later date.
