Who is Love Island 2025 bombshell Antonia Laites?

MAYA Jama teased that an American girl would be the first bombshell to enter the famous villa in 2025.

The Sun exclusively revealed the identity of the latest Love Islander as Antonia Laites — here’s everything we know about her.

Who is Antonia Laites?

Antonia Laites, or Toni as she will be known on Love Island 2025, hails from Connecticut, USA.

She currently lives and works in Las Vegas as a pool cabana server at the exclusive Fontainebleau Resort.

A source told The Sun: “Being Love Island’s first bombshell of the series is a big deal and is always reserved for the sexiest cast members.

“In the past it’s been the likes of Davide, Uma and even Ekin-Su on All Stars.

“Toni landed as part of a huge first day and everyone is very excited.”

Just hours after the The Sun revealed the bombshell’s identity, ITV confirmed the news.

Agonising pain

Ahead of entering the villa, Toni shared that she is battling an illness that leaves her in agonising pain.

She said: “I have ulcerative colitis. I had to go to hospital the same week as my senior prom.

“They told me, ‘You can’t go’ and then they said, ‘Surprise, you’re going to prom!’

“Nothing that exciting happens in Connecticut, so it was a big deal and a few articles were written about me.”

She added: “What I hope people see from me being on Love Island is that not all illnesses are visible.

“It doesn’t have to hold you back, you can travel etc… I live my life day-to-day like anyone else.”

In an interview with ITV, Toni said she is looking for “someone that can make me laugh”.

She added: “I’m super outgoing. And someone that’s quite active. Maybe one day we could start our own family together.”

I think all Americans love a good accent. British men are just more polite, with better manners

When asked why she wants to date a British guy, Toni replied: “I’ve lived in three different states and I’m still single. It’s time to try something new!

“I have some British friends and they’re pretty charming. I think all Americans love a good accent.

“British men are just more polite, with better manners.”

When is Antonia Laites Joining Love Island 2025?

Toni is one of the contestants on the show’s 12th season, which premiers at 9pm on Monday, June 9, 2025.

Rather than being one of the initial batch of Islanders who enter the villa at the very start of the series, Toni will join the cast as the Love Island 2025‘s first bombshell.

But she won’t have to wait long — she will strut into the villa on the very first day to shake up the action from the off.

In the trailer for this year’s series, host Maya Jama said she wants the show to be packed with more ‘twists and turns’ .

She said: “This year Love Island needs something bigger, something bolder, I want ideas.

“This year I want more drama, more bombshells, more break-ups, more makeups.

“I want more twists, I want more twists than ever.”

Teasing bombshell Toni’s arrival in a video shared on social media, Maya played a voice note she received on her phone out loud.

“Hey Maya, I heard you want more twists,” Toni was heard saying.

“How about an American bombshell?” she continued.

“Get ready, I’m on my way!”

‘It won’t change anything’ – Cristiano Ronaldo sends clear message over his future after Nations League triumph

CRISTIANO RONALDO has opened up on his future after Portugal’s Nations League triumph.

The 40-year-old won his third national trophy following Sunday’s dramatic penalty shootout win over Spain.

Ronaldo’s contract with Al-Nassr ends on June 30 – and he is yet to pen a new deal[/caption]

Ronaldo levelled the scores at 2-2 in the second half at the Allianz Arena in Munich.

The former Manchester United star was spotted in tears after Portugal went five for five in the shootout.

An emotional Ronaldo said: “The tears were of joy.

“When you win something for Portugal, it’s always special, but there’s nothing like winning for the national team, in my opinion.

“This generation deserved it and we were going to have a bit of luck and merit and we were going to win the final.

“We knew it was going to be difficult but we deserved it and this gives us confidence and allows us to go to the World Cup with more confidence.”

Ronaldo’s contract with Saudi club Al-Nassr expires at the end of this month.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner appeared to suggest his time with the club was at an end with a cryptic social media post.

He wrote a fortnight ago: “This chapter is over. The story? Still being written. Grateful to all.”

But now Ronaldo appears to have had a change of heart.

When asked about his future on Sunday, he replied: “It won’t change anything. Al-Nassr, yes.

“You know how old I am already, I’m closer to the end than I was at the beginning,

“But I have to enjoy every moment. If I don’t get seriously injured, I’ll keep going.”

Ronaldo joined the Saudi side in 2023 and has been the Pro League’s top scorer for the past two seasons.

Fifa president Gianni Infantino had suggested Ronaldo could play in the upcoming Club World Cup.

Ronaldo admitted he had received “many invites and proposals” for a quickfire transfer ahead of this month’s tournament in the US.

He confirmed on Friday that he will not be appearing in the revamped competition.

Ronaldo said: “It’s almost decided that I will not take part at the FIFA Club World Cup despite receiving many invitations and proposals.

“There have been talks, contacts – but you have to think about short, medium and long term.”

Al-Nassr sporting director Fernando Hierro indicated last month the club still believe Ronaldo will pen a new deal.

He said: “I have to be positive. I don’t think Ronaldo will leave Al-Nassr.

“In any case, we are working hard on all aspects.

“Ronaldo’s contract with Al-Nassr runs until the end of June 30.

“We will work to renew his contract so he can continue with us, and there are many clubs interested in signing him.”

Ireland waiting almost WEEK for warm weather return as Met Eireann pinpoint 21C day amid ‘thunder’ & cloud forecast

IRELAND could be waiting up to a week to see the recent warm weather return – as the country is set to be covered by cloud until then.

A recent mini heatwave brought temperatures of up to 25C in some parts of the country and officially kicked off the summer season.

But the past few days have brought Ireland back to basics with showers, cloud, and milder temperatures.

Now, weather bosses have predicted that a band of cloud will settle in over the country until at least this weekend.

According to Met Eireann, every day from now until Friday will be cloudy, at which time showers lasting the weekend will break out.

Today is set to be cloudy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle which will mainly affect the north of the country.

It will be drier further south, with temperatures between 13C and 17C, with moderate to fresh southwesterly breezes predicted.

And meteorologist Alan O’Reilly at Carlow Weather confirmed the prediction on social media.

Posting on X, he said: “A cloudy day ahead with showers mainly in West and North.”

Tonight will continue to be cloudy with drizzle likely to persist into the morning.

Met Eireann predict: “Rather cloudy with outbreaks of rain across the northern half of the country with occasional drizzle elsewhere.

“The best of the dry weather will be in the southeast.”

Tomorrow will see more cloud, rain, and drizzle, despite some sunny spells in the north of the country.

Weather bosses forecast: “Highest temperatures of 16 to 19 degrees, with mostly light southwest breezes.”

Tuesday night will remain cloudy along with showers and drizzle.

Temperatures will sit between 9C and 13C with light southerly breezes which will allow mist and fog to develop.

On Wednesday, Met Eireann predict a cloudy start to the day with showers developing later in the afternoon.

They said: “Showers may turn heavy at times. Feeling milder too with highest temperatures of 18 to 21 degrees, in moderate southerly winds.”

Wednesday night will see showers continue with “heavy bursts” predicted, although they are set to ease off for an overcast morning.

Met Eireann said: “Likely becoming overcast by dawn as showers ease. Mild with temperatures not falling below 13 to 15 degrees.

“Breezy with moderate to fresh easterly winds.”

And Thursday will bring heavy showers with a chance of thunderstorms, although this will clear off to sunny spells by evening.

Highest temperatures heading into the weekend will be between 18C and 22C.

Friday will bring more outbreaks of heavy showers with fresh southerly winds and temperatures between 16C and 19C.

And this weekend is forecast for low pressure with “frequent showers” on the way.
