Inbetweeners fans given chance to relive classic episode in replica yellow Fiat – complete with iconic red door
A REPLICA yellow Fiat, similar to the one seen in The Inbetweeners and complete with a ridiculous single red door, is now available to rent in London, Birmingham, and Manchester.
Car-sharing marketplace Turo is offering fans the chance to take on their very own comedy road trip in a fantastic copy of Simon Cooper’s first car, available for £55 per day.

Available for one month only, as an added bonus, Turo is offering drivers who are fastest to the buzzer in each location free tickets to Thorpe Park – giving them the chance to relive one of the show’s most iconic episodes from the first series.
The distinctive yellow supermini, which is a Fiat Seicento – rather than the show’s Fiat Cinquecento – features the red replacement door made famous by the series.
Available on Turo from June 2, the only stipulation is that drivers must be aged 25 or over to book the vehicle.
Rory Brimmer, Managing Director at Turo UK, said: “From its comparison to urine to its eventual watery grave, Simon’s car became as much a character in The Inbetweeners as the four lads themselves.
“Now, we’re giving fans the chance to get behind the wheel of this piece of British comedy history – and avoid long waits at the bus stop.”
The added theme park perk is handed to fans in the form of a voucher for Thorpe Park tickets alongside their booking, or Alton Towers for those based near Manchester.
Turo insists that, unlike in the show – where Simon’s car faced numerous issues, including having its door ripped off, being vandalised and ultimately rolling into a lake at the end of the show’s run – this replica is in great condition and fully functional.
The Fiat is a mainstay on the show, which ran from 2008 to 2010 across three seasons of just 18 episodes.
Given to the character Simon (played by Joe Thomas) by his parents after passing his driving test, he takes an instant dislike to the car, particularly because of its colour and the fact that it has a tape deck.
On the same day he gets the car, Simon takes his friends Jay and Will on a road trip to Thorpe Park, but upon arrival, Jay becomes impatient when Simon is reverse parking and opens the door too quickly, breaking it off against a lamppost.
It later gets a mismatched red replacement door.
Turo allows drivers to rent just about any car, just about anywhere – from tech-savvy EVs to rugged 4x4s and reliable city runarounds.
Options also include picking up the motor or having it delivered to your preferred location, with third-party liability insurance thrown in as standard as well as a range of vehicle protection plans.

Cian O’Connor channels family legacy for fairytale win at Connacht Men’s Stroke Play
ROSCOMMON golfer Cian O’Connor sealed a fairytale win at Galway Golf Club on Saturday afternoon.
The golfer held his nerve late on to claim the Connacht Men’s Open Stroke Play Championship by a single shot at Galway Golf Club.

The 22-year-old, whose golfing roots run deep at the Salthill course thanks to his family legends Christy O’Connor Snr and Jnr.
He fired a stunning final round 65 to finish on -3 – one ahead of Castleknock’s David Reddan.
Home support roared him over the line, with his dad, sister and grandparents all there to witness his first senior victory.
Speaking after the historic win, O’Connor spoke of his emotion and joy at winning such as prestigious competition at the venue.
He stated: “This is where golf started for my family. It’s a special place to win.
The University of Memphis student showed his bottle as he carded a gritty bogey at the last after a nervy provisional tee shot
He added: “It wasn’t over until the very last group came in.
“I was just relieved to get it done.”
“This is definitely one of my best ever days on a golf course.”
Irish golfing royalty runs deep in the O’Connor family.
Christy O’Connor Senior racked up an incredible 24 professional wins, including two British Masters and multiple Irish championships.
The Galway native never won a Major but was a Ryder Cup mainstay across four decades.
Christy O’Connor Junior made headlines of his own, famously winning four times on the European Tour.
But it was that 2-iron at The Belfry in the 1989 Ryder Cup that cemented his legacy.
The shot is widely regarded as one of the most iconic shots in Ryder Cup history.
He also bagged two Senior British Opens in a glittering career..
BBC Race Across The World star’s family pay tribute after death aged 24 in horror car crash
THE family of Race Across The World star Sam Gardiner say they are “overwhelmed” by support following his death as they paid tribute.
The 24-year-old, who competed in the BBC One series alongside his mum Jo, died following a car crash last month.

A JustGiving page launched in his memory by his family, in aid of National FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder), has so far raised more than £10,000.
It comes after Sam’s heartbreaking final social media post was revealed.
Mr Gardiner’s mum said: “We have been overwhelmed by the tens of thousands of messages of love and support on social media and in comments to press reporting.
“We would like to thank the BBC, Studio Lambert and everyone at Race Across The World production, fellow contestants and fans of the show for all their support at this terrible time.
“It has been very comforting to know that Sam touched so many people.
“I have been particularly moved by all the messages that Sam was an inspiration to many who have been impacted by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder.
“We adopted Sam and he was diagnosed with FASD. As viewers of season two will recall, this was a big challenge both for Sam and for us as his parents.
“National FASD helped us on that journey. If some good comes of this tragedy, it will be that FASD is better understood.”
Mr Gardiner was driving a white Volkswagen Golf R estate when it came off the road and rolled before landing on its side.
The accident happened on the A34 in Gatley, near Cheadle, on May 26 and he died three days later from his injuries, his family said last week.
Broadcast in March 2020, Sam and Jo ventured across Mexico and Argentina as part of the second series of the BBC show.
Mr Gardiner’s dad Andrew said: “When the news broke last week, friends asked how they could help.
“After some thought, I decided to set up a JustGiving page to raise money for National FASD in memory of Sam. The page is called Sam Gardiner; Super Human.
“I set the target at £500 thinking a few friends might be generous enough to make a donation. So far it’s raised 20 times that.
“It’s very humbling to see the RATW family rally to this worthy cause.”
The National Organisation for FASD says on its official website that it “provides support to people with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, their families and communities, campaigns to raise public awareness, and promotes relevant policies and practices”.
The website also describes FASD as resulting “when prenatal alcohol exposure affects the developing brain and body..”
It says: “FASD is a spectrum. Each person with FASD is affected differently.
“While more than 400 conditions can co-occur, FASD is at its core a lifelong neurodevelopmental condition.
“All people with FASD have many strengths. Early diagnosis and appropriate support are essential, especially for executive functioning.”
A message on the official National FASD Instagram account said: “Sam lived his life full of love, exuberance and adventure as seen on BBC’s Race Across the World.
“National FASD is both humbled and honoured to help carry on his legacy via donations coming from hundreds.”
A private funeral will be held later this month.
