Heartache as young Irishwoman dies suddenly in Spain as brother pays devastating ‘beautiful smile’ tribute amid plea

TRIBUTES have poured in for a “beautiful” young Irishwoman who died suddenly in Spain last week.

Diane Moloney, who was born and raised in Listowel, Co Kerry, had moved to the sunshine spot a number of years ago to teach in a childcare facility.

However, she passed away suddenly last Friday.

Diane’s eldest brother Lorcan has told how the family’s “main priority” is now getting Diane home “as soon as possible”.

In a heartbreaking tribute to his little sister, he said: “Diane touched the hearts of everyone that she met in her short life with her beautiful smile, giggly laughter and always looking after her two brother’s.

“The death of my sister has broken our hearts and of those who knew Diane.

“We appreciate everyone’s support and kindness at this very difficult time, it means so much to us.”

The Moloney family has now set up a fundraiser to assist them in the repatriation of Diane.

Organiser Lorcan said: “It is with great sadness that we are setting up this fundraiser to help bring my sister Diane home to Ireland from Spain and alleviate the financial burden associated with this.”

The campaign, which has so far raised €37,813 out of its €20,000 goal, also thanked the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust for their “support, guidance and kindness” towards the Moloney family.

Members of the community have been pulling together to support the family through their tragic loss, with mourners telling how Diane “will be missed so much”.

Nai Ionad Na Cille Childcare, based in Keel, told how they are “heartbroken” by the passing of Diane, who was a former staff member.

The childcare centre said: “We are heartbroken to hear of the tragic passing of Diane Moloney, who worked with us at Nai íonad na Cille a few years ago before moving to Spain.

“Diane was a kind and caring colleague, and we have such fond memories of her time with us.”

A GoFundMe has been set up to help bring Diane home and support her family in this devastating time. Any support would be greatly appreciated.

‘MANY FOND MEMORIES’

Listowel Emmets Ladies Football, which Diane played with as a teenager, told how the club is “deeply saddened” to hear of the passing of their past player.

A spokesperson for the club said: “She played with Listowel Emmets until U16 level and we have many fond memories of her over the years, playing her best at full back.

“We want to send our deepest condolences to her mother Mags, her brothers Lorcan and Eddie and all the rest of her family and friends.

“We send them strength and comfort through this difficult time. May she rest in peace.”

Listowel Celtic club said: “All at Listowel Celtic were deeply saddened to hear of the untimely passing of Diane Moloney.

“We extend our sincere condolences to Diane’s mother Margaret, brothers Lorcan and Eddie, who is involved with one of our U14 teams and all the extended Moloney family and her many friends.

“May Diane rest in eternal peace.”

Bleary-eyed Dan Osborne stumbles out of hotel after-party with Christine McGuinness while Jac Jossa was in I’m A Celeb

BLEARY-EYED Dan Osborne was seen stumbling out of a hotel after-party with Christine McGuinness while his wife Jac Jossa was in the I’m A Celeb jungle.

The 2019 images have resurfaced after The Sun revealed reality stars Dan, 33, and Christine, 37, comforted one another amid their marital woes.

The pair sent flirty texts and model Christine said Dan had joined her for raucous nights out that helped lift her spirits after her split from radio and TV host husband Paddy.

The former Towie star was enjoying a night off parenting duties at London’s Butterfly Ball, mingling with fellow TV personalities – including Christine – while Jacqueline was Down Under.

Arriving on the red carpet, the father-of-three looked sharp in a black suit paired with a skinny tie.

As the night progressed, Dan appeared more relaxed, having undone a few buttons and removed his tie.

It seemed the influencer, who had been dismissed from Towie in 2015 following threats made to his ex-girlfriend, was enjoying himself at the event.

Later in the evening, a dishevelled Dan was spotted laughing and smiling as his friends propped him up and helped him walk on the pavement.

The bash also saw Dan mingle with other reality TV personalities, including Christine, Amy Childs, Imogen Thomas and Holly Hagan.

Inside, he was pictured enjoying a private chat with Chrstine – who, at one point, bursted into laughter at something he’d said.

At the time, reality star Dan was still building bridges with his actress wife over previous cheating claims.

EastEnders star Jacqueline and Christine are both represented by the InterTalent agency.

Dan is adamant nothing happened romantically between the pair, even suggesting that the text messages between them were “deep fakes or AI” when asked.

Earlier this year, The Sun revealed Dan had moved out of his and Jacqueline’s home and into a property he had bought behind his wife’s back.

Both temporarily removed their wedding rings.

It was the second time they had parted ways over the past few years.

Although it was claimed mum-of-two Jacqueline was furious, she later insisted the property purchase was for investment purposes only.

Christine, married to Paddy for 11 years — and who has won an award for her documentary about her autism struggles — recently pulled out of Channel 4 show, Celebs Go Dating.

In recent weeks, she has revealed she dated both men and women since she was a teenager.

Another friend added: “Christine is in a great place.

“She and Paddy are getting on well, everything is amicable, and she’s super-excited about the future.

“Life is good.

“Her friendship with Dan seems a lifetime ago.

“They don’t really speak now.”

‘Positive vibes’

Christine and Dan have been involved in charity football matches with Sellebrity Soccer together, including in February 2023.

She also managed Dan and other celebs in a game in February last year, in which he captained the team and scored in a 6-4 win on the Isle of Sheppey, Kent.

Proudly celebrating their victory, Christine wrote on online: “It was my positive vibes I was sending.

“My men never let me down, we only do winning.”

Dan has previously been hit by claims of cheating.

But a pal insisted this behaviour was all “very much in the past”.

Just months after fan favourite Jacqueline was crowned Queen of the I’m A Celeb Jungle, Dan admitted to infidelity.

He told The Sun he “takes full responsibility for being crap”.

He said: “I’ve made mistakes.

“I’ve done things I shouldn’t have done.

“Me and Jac have spoken about that and she has forgiven me.

“I know in the past I’ve denied things when they’re not true, then when something has been true, I probably just kept my mouth shut.

“I was a different person.”

Joe Swash reveals the two things he and wife Stacey Solomon can’t go on holiday without

JOE Swash has revealed the two things he and Stacey Solomon can’t go on holiday without, as the family gear up for their summer getaway.

The 43-year-old former EastEnders star and his X Factor contestant wife are planning to jet off to sunnier climates in the coming months – but haven’t landed on a location yet.

But no matter where they go, they’ll end up packing two things as they always do – a crafts box to keep their young children entertained, and flotation devices to keep them safe in the water.

Joe said: “Stacey likes to travel with a craft box so the kids can stick out things together and do a bit of drawing.

“But we also like to do things with the younger ones, Belle and Rose.

Rex not so much now as he’s a bit older and he can swim really well, but we make sure we get the armbands for swimming properly.

“You can go on holiday and then it’s a nightmare if you can’t get the right ones.

We always want to make sure they have the right swimming equipment so they’re safe before we go, so we know that box is ticked.”

Joe revealed the family are weighing up where to go – but that decision is out of his hands and will be down to the kids.

Joe said: “We do like to go away with a lot of family as well so I’m sure there’s going to be more than just us lot.

“We like to go to Turkey as that’s where the kids love. We’re not 100 per cent sure where it’ll be, but there’s going to be a lot of us.

“We are driven by what the kids love – wherever they want to go, we do.”

He added: “Our kids have never loved kids club, but they love water parks, swimming, playing sports, football and tennis.

“They’ve got huge amounts of energy to burn off and because we’ve got so many of them, there’s never a dull moment.

I always say to Stacey that we need a holiday after the holiday.”

One thing which never changes is the drenching one another with water when the sun is out.

And as summer approaches, Joe has teamed up with Jammie Dodgers, to unveil a limited-edition Super Soaker made in collaboration with Nerf, which has been created to inspire kids to get outside in the sun, and 100 are up being given away every day until 31 July.

“We’re always trying to get the kids out into the garden and we’re chucking water at each other so it’s right up my street.

“I usually come out on top because I can carry the most water.”

Discussing his collaboration with the biscuit brand Joe said: “Jammie Dodgers have been in my family for years – I grew up with them, they were something my mum used to buy and it’s something our kids love having as well.”

He also revealed his and Stacey’s plans to turn their Pickle Cottage to Animal Farm – by getting in goats, pigs and other farmyard animals.

The 43-year-old former EastEnders star and his wife have been busy with home and garden improvements to their Essex abode, with one of the latest additions including a beehive.

But not settling there, Joe opened the door for the possibility of more animals joining their growing family, which already includes dogs, ducks and fish.

“We had more chickens arrive the other day and I’ve heard rumours there might be rabbits on the way.

“There’s always something new. I wouldn’t be surprised if a goat popped up, or a pig. I feel like we’re at that stage now.”

The first bits of honey were extracted from their beehive recently, and so far, none of the family has been stung – although their dog Peanut did get nipped.

“I think he might have got a bit too close the other day, but he won’t be doing that again,” Joe said.

Joe and Stacey’s interest in becoming more sustainable has spilled over into growing more fruit and vegetables and is something the whole family take part in.

Growing fruit and veg in the garden has provided the perfect learning experience for their young children Rex, five, Rose, three, and Belle, two, to learn about where food comes from.

Joe said: “The question is what Stacey isn’t growing, that would be easier to answer. She’s really transformed the garden and really found a passion for it.”

Popular English beach town launches new ride in time for summer

A HUGE new ride has made an appearance in a popular UK coastal resort.

Weymouth has a new structure, stretching 26 metres tall and accommodating up to 108 passengers, with views across the coast.

The Observation Wheel, which has been financed by the people who run the local funfair, is located on the central beach in the town.

According to the SomersetLive, locals have been enthusiastic about the new addition.

One local, named Robert, said: “We always come down to Weymouth. We used to do a lot of diving in the sea here.

“So we thought we’d come back and visit some of the regular haunts for our anniversary.”

Some locals also mentioned how the town used to be quite run down, but that the new wheel has brought more confidence to locals about improving the appeal of the town to visitors.

Another local added: “The Observation Wheel has only been up a few weeks and I don’t mind it.

“It adds something and brings people in.”

The wheel is located at Weymouth Central Beach’s end, which is also home to a number of fairground attractions and seaside activities.

The wheel costs £11 to go on, and riders will see amazing views across the coast.

Other locals mentioned how the wheel will help local businesses as it will bring people down in the summer.

Mayor of Weymouth, Councillor Jon Orrell, said: “The observation wheel is one of the tallest attractions on the beach offering fantastic views of Weymouth’s iconic Jurassic coastline.

“We are pleased to see this new attraction opening on the beach for the very first time, which complements the other seasonal rides.

“It will offer something for all ages for residents and visitors alike.”

Weymouth has also been described as a supersized UK seaside town that’s home to the country’s biggest beach and foot-long Mr Whippy ice creams.

Plus, from beaches to dinosaurs – Haven’s Weymouth Bay resort has lots to see.
