Garth Brooks is really trying to get everything under control. One of the most popular singer-songwriters in the United States, famous for his integration of pop and rock elements into the country genre, the 63-year-old industry veteran seems to have become the epitome of quite some backlash and controversies as of late.
Surprisingly enough, Brooks has been met with allegations of s*xual assault, which are proving to be career-threatening for him. But in the wake of the same, he seems to be putting up a fight to salvage his shattered image, having recently publicly complimented his wife, Trisha Yearwood, along with other female music artists in the industry.
Garth Brooks is facing career-threatening s*xual assault allegations

In one of the most baffling turns of events, Garth Brooks’ career is currently hanging by a thread following the allegations of s*xual assault by a woman who has been referred to as “Jane Roe” in her lawsuit. According to the reports, the woman accusing him is none other than the singer’s former hairstylist and makeup artist.
Per the filing, the Friends in Low Places singer allegedly forced the victim to put her hands on his gen*tals and vulgarly talked about s*x. If that wasn’t enough, the lawsuit further accuses him of having reportedly discussed his s*xual fantasies with her, which included “repeated remarks” about “having a threesome” with his wife, Trisha Yearwood.
Brooks has denied all the accusations and proceeded to file a counterclaim, citing “defamation, false light invasion of privacy, and “intentional infliction of emotional distress through outrageous conduct,” per RadarOnline.com. His wife, in the meanwhile, is said to have been left “shocked that anyone would accuse Garth of such heinous things.”
This was followed by the source even claiming about the pair, “It’s put a strain on their relationship. They’ve been living with this legal mess for months now. It’s the elephant in the room.” But while the If Tomorrow Never Comes singer’s marriage seems to have taken a hit with this, he appears to be trying to get everything under control.
Garth Brooks recently complimented his wife and other women in the music industry

Recently, in what felt like an attempt to save his career which is hanging by a thread in the wake of all the allegations against him, Garth Brooks greatly praised his wife, Yearwood, besides Dolly Parton, while presenting the Stacy Vee with the Executive of the Year award at Billboard’s Country Power Players event in Nashville.
Using this rare public appearance to his advantage, the country icon emphasized in his speech that “everything that is a blessing is a curse, and everything that is a curse is a blessing.” Continuing, he explained:
The curse in this business, like so many businesses, a female needs to work a thousand times harder than a male to get a tenth as much as the male gets. That’s just how it is, always been. But the blessing on that, I think that’s what makes Dolly Parton, Dolly Parton. I think that’s what, and I was first-hand watching this, is what makes Reba McEntire, Reba McEntire.
Brooks then proceeded to refer to his wife in his ‘curse-blessing’ speech, saying,
You can’t outwork her. I’m married to one of the greatest singers of any format, and I watch her every day work a thousand times harder than me to get a tenth as much as they give me.
As tough of a pill as that one is to swallow, it’s only true because most female artists actually do continue to fight for their fair share in the entertainment industry, which their male counterparts seem to get without much trouble. But Brooks’ pulling this move now could be an attempt to salvage his shattered image.
But, then again, considering the reports claiming that even Yearwood was shocked by the allegations against her husband and Brooks pleading not guilty, it remains to be seen how this turn of events ends up for the singer.
