Beast of Reincarnation Is How Microsoft Takes Revenge for No Ghost of Tsushima Xbox Port

Console war is a stupid concept; only PlayStation and Nintendo seem to continue the trend to this date. We all know exclusivity doesn’t make sense, still, Sony feels like keeping their ego with mundane games. Xbox isn’t selfish, and we’ve seen that with games like Oblivion Remastered, Forza Horizon 5, and the release of Indiana Jones on PlayStation 5.

Sony gatekeeping Ghost of Tsushima, Uncharted, and other exclusives from Xbox seems like a childish thing to do. But don’t worry, Xbox is pretty mature to let you enjoy Beast of Reincarnation on PlayStation 5, just like they did for others. Moreover, State of Play was pretty bland, so you’ll need some games to stay afloat.

Xbox not gatekeeping Beast of Reincarnation shows how petty Sony is

Beast of Reincarnation seems like a mix of Ghost of Tsushima, Nier, and Sekiro. Wild idea, but it all seems to blend in just fine. The game takes place in a fantasy world that showcases the impending extinction of humanity. Which kind of seems similar to the idea of Horizon series games.

The sword combat looks remarkably similar to Sekiro, which might cause a stir in the gaming community. But there’s no denying, it looks silky smooth and way better than Ghost of Tsushima. Beat it, PlayStation. Will Ghost of Yotei be able to match the combat quality? Looks like we gotta wait till July to find out.

Regardless, the game looks fantastic and the visuals are mesmerising like Ghost of Tsushima. If you’re not ready to give us your adored IPs for Xbox, we have no other option but to make them at home.

Jokes aside, the game is being developed by Pokémon developer Game Freak. So if you felt there were some similarities to Pokémon games, this might be the reason. But still, it’s a solid showcase that proves Game Freak can do more than Pokémon.

There are some visible problems that can be seen in the trailer, for instance, stuttering. However, that is a minor issue as Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 trailer had the same problem. Don’t think we need a recap on that, as we all know how well the game turned out.

What would Beast of Reincarnation be all about?

Beast of Reincarnation is a mysterious game that showed up on Xbox Games Showcase 2025 and left us with a lot of questions. The game looks similar to Ghost of Tsushima, but it also has robots like Horizon. The main character is a female samurai in the far future. What even is going on? Don’t worry, we can clear some of your doubts.

The upcoming title is set in the 41st century Japan, where humanity has been overrun and is almost extinct. All happened due to a mysterious animal, named the Beast of Reincarnation, which spread blight and corrupted all living things.

You’ll be playing as Emma the Sealer, who is fated to annihilate the Beast of Reincarnation and save humanity from its doom. However, the beast isn’t the only problem, as there are evil robots that want to see your end. Emma has to go through thick and thin and defeat the enemies that stand against humanity’s fate.

But don’t worry, you won’t be alone in the mysterious futuristic world. In the trailer, you must have noticed a white dire wolf that is tagging along with Emma. Don’t know if the wolf will be there with you throughout the journey, but it will accompany you.
