As someone who visits Disney World and Disneyland often, trying to find comfortable yet stylish clothes suitable for park days can be a challenge. I’ve worn Lululemon leggings and the highly coveted PopFlex pirouette skirt before, however, I haven’t found an athletic dress that I love — until now.
Just recently, Disney and Her Universe came together to create athletic dresses inspired by beloved Disney Princesses. They’re just as magical as you’d imagine them to be, and Disney TikTok quickly became obsessed. As soon as these came out, I knew I had to get my hands on them.
For some background, the athletic dresses were released in several princess variations, including Ariel, Aurora, Cinderella, and Snow White (though it’s important to note that some options have sold out since launch). Every dress has a color scheme inspired by each of the princess’ classic dresses, and include iconic symbols from the films. For example, you have the recognizable Rapunzel sun on the center of the Rapunzel dress and Sleeping Beauty’s crown is on the chest of the Aurora dress (see below). In terms of the construction, the lined athletic dresses have a scoop neckline, adjustable shoulder straps, a built-in padded sports bra and interior shorts with side pockets.

Are the Disney x Her Universe Athletic Dresses Good for a Day at Disney?
To put the dress to the test, I wore it for a full park day while I was in California for Disneyland’s 70th Celebration. As anyone who’s ever visited a Disney park knows, it’s a day filled with lots of walking, standing, and waiting in long lines — all while braving the Southern California summer heat and huge Disney crowds.
I was a bit worried about the interior shorts as sometimes built-in options tend to ride up and leave my thighs exposed and prone to chafing but that wasn’t the case at all. The shorts actually stayed in place and I only found myself needing to adjust them a few times throughout the day. It was a bit annoying to take on and off to use the bathroom, but given how cute it was, I gave it a pass.
As someone with a larger bust, I needed to wear an additional bra underneath to cover my nipples and hold up my breasts. Would I run a marathon in this dress? Probably not, but it’s great for light to moderate exercise. Plus, it’s made with a polyester and elastane blend so it was super stretchy and breathable. With this material, I found that it was true to size and offered even a bit more wiggle and stretching room for added comfort.
Naturally, I received tons of compliments on the dress and found it was even great for twirling with princesses. The dress was pretty good at wicking away sweat and the interior pockets were great for holding my phone, hotel room key, and the new Touchland x Disney hand sanitizer while I was out and about.

Final Thoughts
I’d highly recommend these princess-inspired athletic dresses for those looking for a comfortable, stylish and chic outfit whether for the gym or to wear to the parks on vacation. Styles are going quickly so you’ll want to be sure to snag them before they’re gone — there’s been no official announcement as to whether they will be restocked so it’s better to be on the safe side than miss out on something this cute!
