Unfortunately for sci-fi fans, Netflix just doesn’t have a lot of movies that fall in that genre. Sometimes that makes it very difficult to find a fresh option among the sci-fi films that it does have.
There are a handful of big-budget original sci-fi movies on Netflix, but they simply aren’t as good as the science fiction films that are temporarily on loan to the streamer.
This month, Netflix is debuting Our Times, a science fiction romantic comedy that is more interested in the latter than the former. Additionally, David Lynch‘s 1984 adaptation of Dune has returned to the streamer just as Dune: Part Two prepares to depart on June 30.
